Bagan Buddhas. Just the phrase is exotic. Let alone seeing them in reality. We are mesmerised by the many varied colours, textures, and sizes. Some have been here forever, others are in various stages of repair, and then there are those cast and decorated not so long ago.
Almost every temple right down to the tiny ones in the fields have a buddha in them. Some are very much used with offerings and flowers, and a few sit empty.
All have their own particular differences, and once again we are too hurried to see and appreciate each one in the way it maybe should. Its a good excuse to go back one day.
